“Ah but of course I – we were willing, there is a time and place for everything after all.” the winged woman cooed as her head titled slightly towards Dante’s direction, this time not trying to stop him to leave. A soft click of satisfaction rattled within her helmet when she found out that she too managed to get underneath the swordsman’s skin before she continued the conversation with the dwarf, “My apologies for inquiring at such an odd hour – and of course I am willing to return at a better time – but just in case it isn’t possible, I wanted to know if you took commission work? A pause.
“Dangerous foe. I fear that what I currently wield wouldn’t be enough… to save my dear family.” she finally said, her voice dropping from the regal tone she maintained to one more sombre, perhaps even a hint of desperation in her voice. “Again, I apologise for disrupting the peace earlier, I needed to see if there are worthy enough warriors in the area too. I provoked him, deliberately, to see for myself given the interesting sword he carries.” she added to Eurig before shrugging as he continued to walk away, “I suppose there will be others. I’d imagine in your practice you would know of powerful warriors, yes?”
